New executive and communications board members announced!

As is customary every year at the conclusion of WPOA’s annual conference, we would like to welcome our newest Executive Board and Communications Board members!

 

Jason will be joining President Gabe Testerman, First Vice President Brady Frude, Second Vice President Chris McDonald and Third Vice President Keri Patrick and Executive Officer John Grossnickle as Fourth Vice President on WPOA’s Executive Board.  Gwendolynn will be joining President Jacci Warne, First Vice President Kellen Phillips and Executive Officer Cresta Jennings as  Second Vice President on WPOA’S Communications Board.

Jason Mower

Fourth Vice President - Executive Board

Jason Mower has served with Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office since April of 2009.  Born in Casper and raised in Kemmerer, he is a cum laude graduate of the University of Wyoming, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in political science.  Mower began his law enforcement career as Wamsutter's resident patrol deputy.  Since that time, he has worn many hats, working on patrol, in general detectives and as a patrol supervisor.  He has also served several special assignments over the years including as the supervising deputy of a fugitive apprehension task force, as a supervising detective for a fugitive apprehension and narcotics task force and as assistant team leader and team leader on SWAT.  Mower currently serves as the sheriff's office public affairs and information officer.

Gwendolynn Whetham

Second Vice President - Communications Board

Gwen Whetham has been at the Wyoming Highway Patrol since January of 2015 as a dispatcher. She has an associates in Criminal Justice and has been in the criminal justice field for over 17 years. In 2020, Gwen joined the WPOA Communications Board. In her spare time, Gwen enjoys volunteering with the Girl Scouts and spending time with her two children.
